I have decided to enter photos in our county fair. I can only enter two photos in the fair. Can you help me decide which ones use. Please pick two favorite photos out of the seven, and let me know via a comment which ones you suggest that I should enter. (Click on "comments" at the bottom of this blog post, and add your comment.) If possible, have other members of your family, and any nearby friends vote also. The more votes, the better. All votes must be in by the morning of 8-3-2012.
1. Two bees and a Cosmos
2. Frozen Flames
3. A pond, a stream, and a mountain
4. The spiral of a frost flag
5. Frost covered chain
6. Lizard on a leaf
7. Tendrils
No 1 and 4 for me.

One and four for me too! Pam Fletcher (your Dad's half-niece)
ReplyDeleteOne and seven for me. Nice job, William. Aunt Jane
ReplyDelete2 and 4! :-)
ReplyDeletethe bee and the frost chain. Love you! -your sister
ReplyDelete1 and 2 ....but they are all fantastic. You are doing great work!
ReplyDeleteI would say 1 & 2 show the most skill with exposure and tricky focus. Plus, they just look cool :)
ReplyDeleteMy very most favorite is 7. So that gets my first vote. My second vote goes to 2. (Shocked?) Not because I personally like the subject matter, but because of the high level camera skill I saw going into perfecting the frozen flame shot.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is 5, the frost covered chain, because it shows good eye to see the beauty in that and capture it so clearly. I also like the tendrils, no. 7, because of the artistic uniqueness, but the flag was close with it's interesting shape and the recognizable colors that are patriotic to our country, but from a different angle than we usually see it. The bees and the fire were great shots because of the difficulty of capturing that type of thing with the movement, but as far as a cool picture, I think I'll stay with 5 and 7, though all are good.
ReplyDeleteGary votes for 1, the bees and flower, and also the chain with frost, no. 5.
A friend of a friend.1 and 7.I hope all goes well for you.
ReplyDeleteOne and five...the frosted chain is so beautiful and unique.
ReplyDeleteNumber 1 and number 2 but also the frost on the chain is very good.
ReplyDeleteI think #1 is your best shot at a win thought for personal reasons I like #3 and #5 is cool too.
ReplyDeleteAll the Best, Paul W
God has given you a gift for capturing still images of His dynamic creations. I like all your pictures very much! #2 and #5 are my favorites, though. I came to your blog via your dad's facebook page. You might not remember me, but several years ago you liked visiting my hedgehog, Titus. Blessings to you, William! :)

ReplyDeletehi William! I met you in Glacier a couple years ago, I was friends of your mom when we were in college. I like #2 and #1 the best. They are all good photos though! Keep up the nice work!
ReplyDeleteVeronica
Hmm, that's tough... I would probably say 1 and 7. They are all super good! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteHi! Unfortunately, I haven't met you, but your photography inspires me. I really like #5, but I would have to say that #1 & #7 look the best to me, as far as skill, and subject matter. Hope you do well! :-)
ReplyDeleteI would say #2 & #5 are my favorites, of the two, I would go with #2.
ReplyDeleteLon C.
Flame, flag, frosty chain
ReplyDelete2 and 5 :)
ReplyDelete1 and 4
ReplyDeleteTwo bees, and frosty flag. :)
ReplyDelete1 and 3 or 4. :-)
ReplyDelete1 because, I know how difficult it is to get a photo of moving objects who don't stay on the flower very long, and because of the clarity, and stunning beauty of it! :-)
I like number 3 because of the beauty, and you did so well in framing the photo!
Great work William!
ReplyDeleteI like #5 and #7
#3 also because I love landscapes.
Friend of a friend... 1 & 5. The motion in 1 is amazing, and the colours in 5 are amazing. The blue and black colour scheme is so crisp.
